A Phenomenal Day for Cashel Community School at the County Athletics Event in Templemore!


We couldn’t be prouder of our 20 outstanding athletes who showcased determination, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the day. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off, as they brought home a remarkable total of 7 medals!

Let’s give a round of applause to each and every one of our medalists:

-Lucas Luby, for starting the day in style with a 2nd place finish in the hurdles and a 3rd place finish in the 400m.
-Evan Ryan and Aaron Byrne, for their fantastic performance in the Minor Boys 100m race, securing 2nd and 3rd place respectively out of 60 athletes.
-Aaron Byrne, for his second bronze in the 800m, demonstrating incredible endurance immediately after his sprint final.
-Aoife O’Donnell, for her impressive 2nd place finish in the junior girls 800m.
-Ben Thompson, for his excellent performance in the Senior Boys 1500m, clinching 3rd place by milliseconds ahead of Cormac Brennan, who secured 4th place.

A huge shoutout to all the other incredible athletes who gave their all on the track and in the field: Zsolt Madarasz, Abel Sinish, Amelia Szydlowska, Faye Luby, Rachel Stockil, Eoin Shevlin, Séimí ÓGormáin, Danny Grosu, Tom O’Connor, Adam O’Dwyer, Bríd Quinlan, Amelija Silaraupa, Holly Finn, and Cameron Chambers. Your commitment and passion are truly inspiring and recognised!
