This week, the staff of Cashel Community School said a heartfelt goodbye to our esteemed Principal, Mr. John Gallagher, as he retires after nine transformative years at the helm.

Throughout his time here, John has been more than just a leader—he has been a source of unwavering support, guidance, and inspiration to both students and staff alike. His dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment has left a lasting impact on our entire school community. Under his leadership, we have seen the school grow not only in academic excellence but in spirit, unity, and heart.

John’s vision for the school has always been driven by a commitment to student welfare and success. He championed initiatives that created opportunities for every student to thrive, both inside and outside the classroom. Whether it was encouraging students to pursue their passions, supporting staff in their professional development, or leading by example with his integrity and compassion, John has truly made Cashel Community School a better place.

As we bid him farewell, we do so with deep gratitude for all he has given to the school and community. We will miss his presence, his wisdom, and his tireless energy.
